Course reserves
Questions about print or online Course Reserves?
Please contact us at lewiscir@princeton.edu
Books on reserve are available at the Information Desk in Lewis Fine Hall Wing (Fine Hall, L-Floor). Ask for them by course number and call number.
Reserve books may circulate for 3 hours, and may be taken anywhere in Lewis Library or out of the library. Overnight loans begin at 9 pm and items are due back at 9:30 am on weekdays and 10 am on Saturday and Sunday.
PLEASE RETURN COURSE RESERVE BOOKS TO THE LEWIS INFORMATION DESK to ensure they are discharged from your account. Please DO NOT return Lewis course reserve books to any other campus library.
Renewals will only be done in person. We do not take renewals for course reserves over the phone.
Some course reserve books do not circulate out of the library (e.g. professors’ copies) and your PUID will be retained by the staff at the Information Desk until the book is returned.
Fines for overdue course reserve books are $1 per hour. There is a 1 hour grace period; however, if you return the book later than 1 hour after it is due, fines are assessed from the hour the book was due.
Electronic course reserves (E-Reserves) provide online copies of articles, book chapters, audio and visual materials. Please use the login provided by the course instructor to access these materials. If you do not have a userId and password supplied by your instructor, you may also access electronic reading from Blackboard.
Please observe copyright guidelines when using these materials.
